Very dense, very high altitude natural process coffee
We have offered this coffee every year, for the last 4 years. It is a crucial component of our shop espresso. We love this coffee.
The previous crops have leaned heavily on the fermented fruit notes. This one has them in spades–you can’t miss them… but they are not the whole game here. There’s a solid “coffee first” taste here that we’re really thrilled with. We also detect more chocolate in this year’s crop.
The way we roast this coffee makes it a suitable modern espresso if you’re into fruit bombs. If you would like that tamed down a bit, I would recommend Green Eyes, or get a bag of our house-espresso, which will usually have a second coffee in the blend. But this is a fantastic SO espresso, and a total no brainer for ANY extraction type. It’s not dark… but it’s very soluble. So. Much. Fruit.
